If Americans ever learned the truth of the "forgotten bomb," and saw who the Nagasaki bomb was dropped on (hint: the most anti-imperial, pro-western people in Japan, with a pro-western tradition and belief in Christianity going back to the 16th century), and discovered that the crew violated all the rules in dropping it so they didn't have to dump it at sea so they could barely get back to Okinawa, and thus dropped it not on the Mistsubishi arms works but the largest Christian church is Asia, built with the donations of its parishioners, we might start getting over this myth that the bombs ended the war (they didn't - fear of the Soviet invasion from the north where there were no defenses did). For 80 years we have based our foreign and military policy on a bullshit myth. How typically dumbassed American is that?
